Hey fam!

I got a few details of the Ricky Landais hand wrong…

Ricky Landais went all-in pre-flop with A-K against Bobby James' A-9 in the $10K GGMillion$ High Roller. He was in good shape. Then the dealer laid out four cards instead of three on the flop: 6-5-4-K.

The floor was called immediately. The WSOP floor made the correct ruling: the four cards were reshuffled. One card was removed as the burn card. The other three became the actual flop. That King—the card that would have given Landais the lead—was the one burned.

The turn came an 8 and the river was a 7 giving Bobby a straight, busting Ricky from the tournament.

This sort of thing sometimes happens at the Poker table. Dealer mistakes happen, they’re human! The WSOP and the floor handle it correctly according to the rules.

Sorry for the misinformation! My brain is a bit preoccupied for these 7 weeks😅

Good luck and the tables! If you come to WSOP, please say hi!

Best,
Lexy Gavin-Mather
